Can You See Yours?

I have just been checking my ATC album to see how much space there is left in it as I am expecting more to arrive soon. Good job I did too, because I have just enough space without over filling the album for just 1 more page. I love looking through my ATC Collection & I look through it at least once a month, they always make me smile. Some of them have been made for me personally, some have been made as a themed swap some of them I have chosen for myself while trading, but however they became a part of my collection I love them all. They are simply individual mini works of art, that somebody has taken the time to sit down to make them.
So I have decided to upload the pages to this blog to share, and there are lots more pages to come yet, they will be appearing over the next few days. Make sure to come back & look again to take a look see if you can spot any that you have made, because if you know me the chances are that I have at least one of your ATCs.

Made this card for both the ArtyGirlz #18 & the Card Diva #5 challenges! The ArtyGirlz challenges are set weekly and Scrapitudes Card Diva challenges are set fortnightly, check them out, they are great for inspiration. The stamps I used for this are from Rhonna Farrer (bird) Scrapagogo Greetings (just4U) and the 3mm gems used are my absolute favourites BananaFrog so tiny but really effective! I apply mine using glossy accents & a cocktail stick, as I don't own the hot wand.

Playing catch up

Can you tell that I'm playing catch up here?

This is a bauble that I made back in December for the bauble swap {I no longer own this one}that was on the Scrapagogo Clubhouse. I made it using sequins, pins, seed beads, pearl beads and a polystyrene shape. I plan to make lots more throughout the year, to completely decorate my 2008 tree!

Here is a LO I created a while ago, but is still one of my personal favourites. The photo was taken back in 2005 of my brother in law & nephews on a tiny piece of beach by their home in Geelong Australia. The title is what my youngest nephew Ollie, asked his Dad when he realised that they had run out of beach to walk on! I remember him saying it whenever I visit and walk along there, out of the mouth of babes eh?

Arty Girlz

Here's my take on this weeks Arty Girlz challenge. This week we were asked to use Red as the predominent colour, great challenge Crissi & Jules!
If you have a few minutes to spare, rock on over there and give their challenges a go!

Played with acrylic paint today

Here is a LO that I completed today. I had a play with some acrylic paints too, mimicing the pattern on the Russian Dolls. Not to sure that I was successful though, but it was fun to do!!

I'm back

Here are some cards I have made recently using past Scrapagogo 'Greetings' monthly kits, Gogo produce 2 monthly craft kits, the original one being the 'Create' kit, which is yellow pizza style box chokablock full of fantastic products primarily for scrapbooking, although you can of course use it for lots of other products too. The second kit which officially launched August 2007, is the 'Greetings' kit, which is primarily for cardmakers, but again the abundance of products in the yellow box can be used for allsorts of projects and there is enough in each box to allow for this.

For prices and sneek peaks of the up & coming kits, please visit the Scrapagogo website and for any questions regarding the kits and/or subscriptions email either Lorraine or Janice at info@scrapagogo.co.uk and they will be only to pleased to help you!

Brrrrrr Its freezing here tonight!

I made this card for the team challenge on Auntys Forum, the challenge was set this month by the Creating Mayhem team. We could make anything as long as it was not in the shape of a square, it had to be in monochrome, but use just one other colour, but the added colour must be one that you see during the Winter Season. I have used orange, as while I was outside today, there were lots of orangy coloured leaves on the ground.

Rusty Pickle Challenge

I entered a challenge in December that was set by Kimmy Sonksen, owner of Scrapitude and one of Rusty Pickles very talented *Chefs'*. The LO's were judged by the other chefs, and my LO came joint 2nd! The papers used are from Rusty Pickles 'French Market' range, the scroll was hand cut from the pattern of one of the papers. I have used acytate and rubons for the title & snowflakes. The snowflake embellie was hand drawn & cut from cardstock and fixed with a brad, Stickles glitter glue in 'Icicle' was used on both the snowflake and scroll to finish!
These photos were taken at Thredbo in 2000, while I was on holiday in Australia.
Thredbo is on Kosciuszko Mountain, way up in the Snowies in NSW and a long drive to get up there too!

My last Layout of 2007

My son and his lady put together this hamper for us for Christmas, we were bowled over by it and just had to take a photo before it was dismantled to put the cheeses, pate, cream and wine etc. in the fridge!

The LO isn't wonky in real life honest, it must have been when I stiched the scans!

Word for 2008

I was asked to choose a word to live by throughout 2008. A word that can be used to carry me and spur me on through the year, something that has a meaning that I can and strive for in both my personal life and my love of crafts as well.
So, what word did I choose?

Conquer is my chosen word for the year!
Conquer:
Synonyms:
achieve, acquire, annex, best, master, occupy, overcome, overrun, prevail, seize, succeed, triumph, win
